How to Style Brown High-Heel Boots

Brown high-heel boots are a classic wardrobe staple and can be the perfect footwear choice for many of your fall and winter outfits. Heeled boots look great with a wide range of seasonally appropriate looks and have the added benefit of providing you with extra warmth when the weather gets cold. Once you introduce a pair of brown heeled boots into your shoe rotation, they'll fast become your new go-to shoes.

1 Keep It Casual

Brown boots with a chunky heel are a perfect pairing for many casual dresses, like sweater dresses or long-sleeved jersey dresses. Brown boots act as a neutral accessory, so you can wear them easily with most solid colors and many different patterns. For a perfect cold-weather ensemble, pair your boots with a fitted navy blue sweater dress. If you’re in need of an extra layer, throw on a brown tweed blazer over your dress. Complete the look with classic accessories -- simple gold jewelry, pearl stud earrings and a neutral-colored leather bag in a classic shape.

2 Classic Denim

It's hard to find a more perfect pairing than jeans and a high-heel boots, and this classic combination can easily be dressed up or down. For a casual look, wear chunky-heel boots under bootcut jeans. Add a fitted black tee-shirt, and layer with a cardigan or casual jacket. Showcase a colorful statement necklace against your otherwise-simple outfit. For a dressier ensemble, tuck skinny jeans into your boots, and choose a long-sleeved blouse in a dark pattern. Boots with a thin heel are a fancier boot option, so trade your chunky boots for a stiletto pair. Accessorize with gold hoop earrings and a stack of bangle bracelets.

3 At the Office

Brown heeled boots can work surprisingly well with certain office-appropriate outfits. However, if you work in an ultra-conservative office, make sure that heeled boots are an acceptable footwear choice before you wear them to work. Once you feel comfortable that boots fit into your office’s dress code, pair them with a classic wrap dress in a lively print or bold color. A navy blazer will complement the boots-and-dress combination and will keep you looking completely professional. Finish your outfit with a delicate silver pendant necklace, a feminine watch and a leather tote bag to carry all your workday essentials. Generally, boots with a thin heel are sleeker and, as such, more office-appropriate than chunky-heel versions.

4 Skirting Around

A skirt and blouse is another great outfit to wear with boots. Keep your look tasteful by choosing a skirt that comes at least to your mid-thigh, and if your skirt is on the shorter side, wear opaque tights for added coverage. Wear a camel-colored A-line skirt with high-heel boots and a cream, silk blouse for a ladylike fall ensemble. Accessorize with a brown leather bag, a black coat, a chunky gold bracelet and a small pair of gold earrings. Or, pair your thin heel boots with a fit-and-flare style skirt, which is fitted around the waist and hips and flares outward slightly at the hemline. Go monochromatic with a navy or blush skirt and a matching blouse, and let your boots pop.
