How to Use a Military Star Card

The Military Star card is a credit card issued by the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES). Military Star cards may only be used at AAFES-owned stores, such as Base Exchange (BX), Post Exchange (PX), Navy Exchange (NEX) and Marine Corps Exchange (MCX) stores. Military Star cards may also be used to purchase items from AAFES.com. Commissaries do not accept Military Star cards.
1 AAFES Stores
2 Visit a store
Visit a store that accepts Military Star cards as a method of payment. Stores which accept Military Star cards include BX, PX, NEX and MCX stores.
3 Present your Military Star card to the cashier
Present your Military Star card to the cashier when you are ready to pay for the items you have selected.
4 Give the cashier
Give the cashier your valid military identification card. AAFES employees are required to check every customer's military ID card at most AAFES locations, regardless of method of payment.
5 Sign the payment agreement
Sign the payment agreement the cashier presents to you after swiping your Military Star card. Once you have signed the payment agreement, your purchase is complete and you may leave the facility with your items.

7 Visit AAFES.com
Visit AAFES.com, the only online merchant that accepts the Military Star card. Membership and proof of military affiliation is required to shop on AAFES.com.
8 Click Check Out once
Click "Check Out" once you have selected all the items you wish to purchase.
9 Enter your Military Star card number
Enter your Military Star card number when prompted to enter payment information. You will also be required to enter your Military Star card's expiration date and security code (found on the back of your card).
10 Click Submit once your payment information
Click "Submit" once your payment information is correctly entered. Once you click "Submit," your card will be charged and your purchase will be complete.
