A precinct number is your assigned polling location. Polling locations are generally set up by geographic areas, normally neighborhoods in larger communities. In rural communities, there might be just one polling location for the entire municipality. You must go to your assigned polling place to vote on the day of an election.

Look at your voter registration card. Your precinct number is listed as such or may say district number.

Telephone your county voter registration office if you can not find your card. They will confirm your district or precinct.

Check your local municipality's website. Most municipalities include voter information and precinct locations, including precinct numbers on their websites.
