Hooking an iPhone to a TV or computer monitor enables you to mirror your phone's display on a much larger screen, making it easier for audiences to see the content on your device. The iPhone becomes an ideal tool for class presentations when connected to a screen, allowing you to view photos and show live footage through the phone's camera app. The iPhone can be connected to HDMI monitors using the Apple Lightning Digital AV Adapter.

Connect the Lightning Digital AV Adapter to your iPhone's Lightning interface, and connect an HDMI cable to the adapter's HDMI interface. Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into your display.

Select the channel that corresponds to the HDMI port that the phone is connected to on your display. The display automatically begins mirroring the iPhone's screen.

Tap the iPhone's “Camera” icon. The display changes to show live pictures from the iPhone's on-board camera.

Tap the iPhone's “Shutter” button to take a picture, and then tap the picture's thumbnail. The picture shows on both the iPhone's screen and the display.
