Restoring the factory settings on your Kyocera Kona erases all of your personal information and enables you to start as though you took the device out of the box for the first time. Restoring the factory default settings is important if you plan on donating your phone, handing it down to a friend or family member, or selling it. Additionally, a factory reset can sometimes resolve software issues that you can't fix through other methods. You can launch a factory reset through the Settings menu.

1 Press the OK button

Press the "OK" button in the center of the keypad to open an onscreen menu.

2 Highlight Settings

Highlight "Settings" using the arrows on the keypad and click "OK."

3 Delete and then click OK

Highlight "Reset/Delete" and then click "OK."

4 Input the lock code

Input the lock code associated with your Kyocera Kona if you have a lock code set up on your device.

5 Highlight Reset Phone

Highlight "Reset Phone" to erase everything on your device, including your personal information, and restore the phone to its default factory settings. Click "OK" after making your selection. The reset process you selected begins automatically.
