Also check enrollment requirements and curriculum. Some online schools are state-specific whereas others accept students from all over the world. Allied National High School is a private school associated with Allied American University. Christa McAuliffe Academy

Christa McAuliffe Academy is a private online K-12 school. The school is accredited by the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools. Standard, college prep, and career prep courses are available, as well as several Advanced Placement (AP) classes.

Stanford University Online High School

Stanford University Online High School is an independent school for gifted students in grades 7-12. The school is based in California but accepts students from all over the world. It is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The curriculum includes AP and university-level classes

Insight Schools

Insight Schools are a network of free virtual high schools that offer college and career prep courses, including Honors and AP classes. Teachers are state-certified, and the schools are accredited by the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

Connections Academy

Connections Academy is a network of free public K-12 schools available across the United States. The school is accredited by AdvancED, and its teachers are state-certified and trained in online education techniques. Honors, AP, and college-level courses are available.

Kaplan College Prepatory School

Kaplan College Preparatory School is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation. This virtual school offers both AP and Honors classes as well as college-level classes. All teachers are state-certified.

Indiana University High School

Indiana University High School is administered by the Indiana University School of Continuing Studies and accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement. Instructors are licensed in the state of Indiana and certified in their subject areas. The school offers AP and college-level courses.

Keystone National High School

Keystone National High School is accredited by the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools. College and career tracks are available, as well as AP courses. Keystone students score above the national average on SAT tests.

Laurel Springs School

Laurel Springs is a private school accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Students at this college-prep school score higher than the national average on SAT scores and have access to Honors and Advanced Placement courses.

University of Missouri High School

University of Missouri High School is accredited by the Commission on International and Transregional Accreditation and the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement. Students can receive a general education or college prep diploma. Gifted and college-level courses are available.
