Ashworth College, formerly Professional Career Development Institute, is located in Norcross, Georgia. This private school conducts classes solely online and through correspondence. James Madison High School, an online and correspondence secondary school, is also part of Ashworth College.

1 Diplomas and Degrees

Pharmacy technician is one of the career diplomas offered.

Ashworth College offers high school diplomas, career diplomas and certificates, and associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Career programs include a wide variety of subjects. Degrees are in the arts and sciences, as well as business.

2 Accreditation

The Distance Education and Training Council nationally accredits Ashworth College. The high school portion of the school is also regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement. Ashworth is authorized by the Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission to grant high school and career diplomas and associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

3 History

Students of all ages have earned their education through Ashworth College.

Ashworth College opened in 1987 as Professional Career Development Institute with one course in real estate appraisal. Since then, more than a million students have received their education in more than 100 areas of study.

Sheila Holloway began writing seriously in the early 1990s. Since then, she has worked as a writer, most recently for eHow, and as a professional romance novelist until the close of her publishing company in 2008. Holloway holds a Bachelor of Science in education, an MAT and is completing a doctorate.
