How to Find the Mode if More Than One Number Appears Twice

Hi, I'm Rachel, and today we're going to be going over how to find the mode if more than one number occurs twice. Well, the mode is just whatever number occurs the most. So it could you know, happen more than once, it could happen more than twice, it could happen 100 times, but if some other number happens 101 times, that is the mode because if that is the most that something occurs, 101, then that number becomes the mode. So let me show you an example. Say we have 5, 1, these are all different numbers, 3, 5 again, 5 again and 7 and 1 and 3. Okay, so you can see here we have 3 occurring twice, we have 1 occurring twice, we have 7 only occurring once but we have 5 occurring three times. So yes more than one number occurred twice but 5 occurred the most because there is three 5s. So 5 is going to be the mode in this case. If there is a tie, then they are both the mode.
