How to Copy/Paste on a TI-84 Plus

A cable for the TI-84 Plus is also available at electronics stores.

You can copy and paste text you are currently working with on your Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus with the help of the NoteFolio application. NoteFolio is a free application you can download through TI Connect. The ability to copy and paste text on your calculator can save you the time and trouble of having to remember text or re-enter text. After you set up NoteFolio, the copy and paste function takes only a few seconds. You do not to purchase any special equipment to enable text editing.

Download and install TI Connect for Windows on your computer. The free software is available to download from the TI website. Install the program by following the on-screen prompts.

Connect your TI-84 Plus to the computer with the USB cable that came with the device.

Launch TI Connect and click the “DeviceExplorer” icon on the program's home page. Wait for the program to find your phone. Click on it in the list of found devices.

Click “Apps” to view available applications for your calculator.

Click “NoteFolio,” then click “Download.” The file for the app will be downloaded to a location of your choice on your computer. Download the file to your computer's desktop to locate it more easily.

Drag the downloaded file to the TI Connect window. The application will be added to the program. Wait for the program to process the file.

Press the “Apps” button on your calculator. NoteFolio should now appear in the list of apps on your calculator.

Use the arrow keys to place the cursor at the start of the text you want to copy.

Press and hold down the “Shift” key while using the arrow keys to highlight the text you want to copy. Release the arrow and “Shift” keys when finished.

Press “Menu” and click “Edit.” Click “Copy.” The text is now saved to your calculator's clipboard.

Use the arrow keys to place the cursor in the location you want to paste the text.

Press “Menu” and click “Edit.” Click “Paste” and the text will be pasted to the location.
