The Vuze Plus BitTorrent client includes a curated library of downloadable videos. Though BitTorrent as a whole has a reputation for illegal use, all the videos promoted through Vuze's interface are free, legal releases, such as movies distributed by independent publisher VODO. Vuze Plus has a video player as well, so you can discover, download and watch videos without leaving the program.

1 Open Vuze Plus

Open Vuze Plus and press "F7" to show the sidebar, if it doesn't appear automatically.

2 Click Vuze HD Network

Click "Vuze HD Network" in the sidebar under the "Content Discovery" section. If you don't see it, click on "Content Discovery" first.

3 Down to look through recent and popular listings

Scroll down to look through recent and popular listings. To see movie content specifically, scroll all the way to the bottom and click "TV and Movies."

4 Click a listing

Click a listing to open it and see individual items available for download. Press the "i" button on any item to see more information.

5 Press the arrow icon by any item to begin downloading

Press the arrow icon by any item to begin downloading. A window will pop up confirming the download location. Change the location if you wish, and press "OK."

6 Click the Vuze HD Network tab

Click the "Vuze HD Network" tab on the sidebar under the "My Torrents" section. This tab appears only after you've started at least one download. On this tab, you can see the download's progress.

7 Press the Play Now button

Press the "Play Now" button by your video to start watching it. Vuze Plus can start playing videos before they finish downloading, but you may need to wait a few minutes if the button doesn't appear right away. (See Reference 1).

  • Information in this article applies to Vuze Plus version 5. It may vary slightly or significantly with other versions.
  • If pressing "F7" doesn't show the sidebar, you need to change to the modern Vuze interface. Open the "Tools" menu, click options, expand the "Interface" section and click "Start." Press the "Show" button in the right-hand panel, click "Vuze" and press "OK." The program will restart with the new interface.
  • If your video doesn't appear in the "Vuze HD Network" tab of "My Torrents," check the "Downloading" tab instead.
