The Samsung BrightSide doesn’t offer the same features as a smartphone, but it offers basic tools, such as messaging, chatting and calling. By default, the lock screen only prevents accidentally starting one of these features, such as pocket dialing, but it can also secure the phone from prying eyes. You can change the wallpaper for this lock screen from a variety of wallpapers that reside on the phone or the removable memory card. Alternatively, you can use the integrated camera to snap a photo of you and your friends and immediately set it as the lock screen's wallpaper.
Tap "Settings" while viewing the BrightSide's home screen.
Touch "Display Settings" and then "Wallpaper."
Tap the wallpaper you want to use. Alternatively, select "Take Picture," aim the camera at the subject, and tap the "Camera/Camcorder" key to take the picture.
Tap "Set" to change the lock screen's wallpaper.
- To change the lock code, select "Settings," "Phone Settings" and then "Security." Enter the default lock code, touch "Edit Codes," and then select either "Phone Only" or "Calls & Services." Enter the new lock code twice to change it.
