Changing your AOL password on an Apple mobile device such as an iPhone, iPad or IPod touch is a two-step process. First, you must change your account password on the AOL website. Next, to get your AOL mail on your Apple device, you must change the password stored in the device's account settings. If you use a Mac, you only need to change the password on the website.

1 Change Password on Website

To change your password on the AOL website, go the AOL account settings page (link in Resources). You can do this from any Web browser, including the Safari app on your device's home screen. After signing in, answer the security question, and then click "Change My Password." From the next screen you can enter a new password.

2 Change Password on Device

After you change the website password, tap "Settings" on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, and then tap "Mail, Contacts, Calendars." Tap "AOL," and then tap your AOL email address. Tap "Password," and then type your new AOL password. Tap "Done" to save the changes.
