How to Slenderize Your Nose

Your nose is one of your most defining features, so it deserves extra attention in your makeup regimen. With the right products, you can enhance your nose's natural beauty and give it a graceful, slender appearance. By artfully applying contouring and highlighting powders, you'll make your nose look smaller and thinner -- no plastic surgery required.
Wash your face with warm, soapy water to remove oil and dirt.
Select a bronzer or contouring powder that's a few shades darker than your normal skin color. Eyeshadow also works if you don't have any contouring powder.
Dip an angled brush into the powder. Gently tap the brush against the product container to knock off excess powder.
Brush a line of powder down each side of your nose. If your nose flares at the bottom, make a small outward line on each nostril to slim its appearance. If your nose has a bulbous tip, make inward-pointing lines down each nostril. For a nose that's evenly wide, brush lines of powder almost up to the corners of your eyebrows. Do not make any lines on your nostrils.
Blend the powder into your skin with a makeup sponge or brush. You shouldn't see any obvious makeup lines when you're done blending.
Dip a clean brush in a highlighting powder that's two to three shades lighter than your skin color. Use eyeshadow if you do not have highlighting powder.
Brush a thin stripe of highlighting powder down the center of your nose. Make the line from the top of your nose almost down to the tip. If you have a wide tip, end the line about halfway down your nose.
Blend the highlighting powder into your skin, but avoid blending it into the darker contouring powder.
- Apply bold eyeshadow and mascara to your eyes to take the focus off your nose. A bright shade of lipstick also works.
- You can apply your usual foundation before or after applying contouring powder.
