What Are Jeggings Made Of?
Jeggings are a hybrid of jeans and leggings, resulting in pants that are slim yet cozy. Stylish enough to wear to a party or out on a date, jeggings have plenty of stretch in them, meaning you do not have to skip the fries or dessert. The stretch mostly comes from a touch of spandex, while cotton accounts for much of the style's softness.
1 Soft and Stretchy
Jeggings are made from cotton, polyester, spandex and sometimes rayon. A typical jeggings fabric composition is 69 percent cotton, 30 percent polyester and 1 percent spandex. Others are made from 71 percent cotton, 14 percent polyester, 14 percent rayon and 1 percent spandex. Cotton and rayon provide softness; polyester is wrinkle-resistant and quick to dry; and spandex and rayon add stretch. The result is a perfect combination of style and comfort.
