How to Switch YouTube to a Different Country

YouTube is a Google service, so it can detect your location with relative ease. YouTube attempts to pinpoint your location by analyzing your IP address, if you're not logged in to a Google account. In some cases, YouTube may think you're in a different country and choose the country for you. Unfortunately, it may also change the displayed language. To solve the issue, you can change the country from any YouTube page.

1 Changing the Country on YouTube

When YouTube chooses the wrong country for you, it may also choose the wrong language. In this case, you may be unable to navigate the website. The Language drop-down menu is located at the bottom of any YouTube page, right next to the YouTube logo. Click it and choose your preferred language. The Country drop-down menu is right next to the Language menu. Click it to choose the correct country. To avoid these issues in the future, log in to your Google account before you visit YouTube.
