Comcast phone lines allow you to automatically transfer incoming calls and forward them to your mobile phone. Call forwarding can be enabled or disabled either from your Comcast handset, or by using the Xfinity website. Once enabled, it will remain active until you turn the feature off. In addition to allowing you to set all incoming calls to forward, you can also use selective call forwarding to transfer only incoming calls from certain numbers, such as those from friends and family.
Forward All Calls
Pick up your Comcast phone and dial *72. Enter the number you want your calls transferred to. Comcast will ring the cell phone and wait for an answer. Once you've picked up the call from your mobile phone, call forwarding will be active.
Alternately, browse to Xfinity.com, select "Email" and log in with your Comcast username and password. Select "Preference," then "Call Manager" and "Call Forwarding." Tick the box next to the phone number you want calls forwarded from, then type the number you want the calls forwarded to. Click "Save" when you're done.
Disable call forwarding from your handset by dialing *73. Disable call forwarding online by logging in and removing the check in the box next to your Comcast phone number. Click "Save" to complete the process.
Selective Call Forwarding
Dial *63 on your Comcast handset to start the selective call forwarding process. Enter the numbers that should be forwarded, when prompted. Enter the number that the calls will be forwarded to, when prompted.
Set up selective call forwarding online by logging in to Xfinity.com, selecting the "Preferences" tab, then clicking on "Call Manager," and "Call Forwarding." Check the box next to "Selective Forwarding" and click "Add." Enter the numbers of the callers you want forwarded. Click "Add" a second time and enter the number of the cell phone you want your calls to be forwarded to. When you're done, click "Save."
Disable selective call forwarding from your Comcast handset by dialing *83 and pressing 3 at the prompt. Disable it online by unticking the box next to Selective Forwarding in the Call Forwarding menu on the Xfinity website. Click "Save" when you're done.
