Area hotels often provide free or paid shuttle service to and from the airport for guests. If you get a ride in one of these vans, a $1 to $2 tip per passenger is fairly standard. You also commonly have the option to purchase a voucher or ticket to get a ride with a shared shuttle service provider. In this case, 10 percent of the ticket price, or the $2 per passenger tip, are common options.

Despite the common $1 to $2 standard, you also need to consider the overall service and whether the driver helped with bags. If you get help with just one or two bags, the $2 tip still works. If you have additional bags, another $1 per bag is customary. If the driver held the shuttle for you or otherwise went above and beyond, greater generosity makes sense.
