Taming frizzy, unmanageable tresses is a battle many women with naturally curly hair face each time the humidity is on the rise. Despite your best efforts, and plenty of hair care products, you can't seem to keep your sleek, straight bangs from transforming into a poofy, frizzy disaster once the humidity skyrockets. End the battle with frizzy bangs once and for all by spending a few minutes in the bathroom each morning styling your bangs with the correct tools and products.

Wash your hair with a shampoo formulated for naturally curly hair. Rinse it out and apply a conditioner, concentrating the product on your bangs. Allow the conditioner to sit for two to three minutes. Rinse it out with lukewarm water. The conditioner helps weigh your hair down, preventing future fly-aways.

Towel dry your hair and bangs. Apply a leave-in conditioner to your bangs and work it through with a wide-tooth comb.

Apply a dime-sized amount of anti-frizz serum to your bangs. Work the serum through your bangs with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb.

Blow dry your bangs on a medium or low setting. Concentrate the hot air on your bangs while you brush them. Continue to brush the bangs down to keep them straight and flat.

Divide your dry bangs into 1-inch sections and secure each with a plastic clip. Use a straightening iron on each section. Unclip the hair and slowly move the straightening iron down the length of the section from root to tip.

Repeat flat ironing each section of your hair if necessary. Work your fingers through your bangs before applying a light coating of a maximum-hold hairspray.

  • Slip a travel sized bottle of hairspray into your purse to maintain your flat, frizz-free bangs throughout the day.
  • Be careful to not over-do the hairspray to prevent creating crusty, unmanageable bangs.
