100th Day Math Activities
Transcript
Hello, my name is Tiffany Overton, and I am the founding partner of Eldridge Overton Educational Programs. Today, I'm going to discuss some great 100th day of school math activity. The first activity is the 100 chains project. You can distribute 10 manipulatives to each learner. And then, have the students work together until they piece together 100 manipulatives. It's a fantastic way to bring the number 100 alive. Another activity you can utilize for the 100th day of school celebration, is the 100th hands quilt. Now the students know that they have 10 fingers on their hands. So, you can have the students trace their hands and cut them out, decorate them and place them on the quilt. Then you can take the activity further by having the students count by 10 until they reach the number 100. Then you can have the students display their work around the classroom or at home. It's a fantastic way to demonstrate the number 100 for that 100th day celebration. I hope that you have found these ideas useful.
