Where Can I Buy Piercing Needles?

Body piercing is a way to decorate and accentuate a certain part of the body. Although it has been around for thousands of years, it is just now becoming recognized in mainstream culture. In order to perform a body piercing procedure, a sterilized needle is needed. This needle must be of a certain size and handled by a professional. Buying these needles is not difficult, and they cost relatively little.

Although the selection may be limited, stores in the mall such as Spencer’s may sell piercing needles. Because not all body parts use the same needle gauge, you may not be able to find the size that you need. Another option is to go into a tattoo parlor and ask if it has needles to sell. Because tattoo and body piercing shops buy needles in bulk, they may have a few needles to spare. If they are unable to sell you their needles, ask them where they purchased theirs. Remember that you must be 18 years of age to purchase needles.

Buying piercing needles from online retailers is your best bet because this is what most piercing shops do. They order from wholesalers and purchase their supplies in bulk. Because these sizes are small, they are recommended only for play piercings. Besides online retailers, online auction sites such as eBay (see resources) are another method to order piercing needles. This is especially useful if you intend on buying in bulk. Most listings include lots that have 50-400 needles, depending on what sizes they are. Although the prices of these packages are significantly lower than online retailers, you must read carefully over the item description. Make sure that the listing states that all needles are sterilized and have never been opened. Even though the majority of auction descriptions fit this, you do not want to risk your health by getting a bad needle.
