How to Build a Model of Big Ben, the Clock Tower

London's famous clock tower is part of the House of Parliament. Big Ben is actually the name of the bell in the clock tower that strikes each hour. A model of Big Ben may include the attached Parliament building. This simple model uses a pre-made pattern for the building.

Print and cut out the pattern for Big Ben. Use a photocopier to enlarge the pattern as necessary. Color the paper pattern brown for the building, white for the clock face and gray for the roof.

Cut the tower pattern off of the Parliament section. Glue the tower pattern to the lasagna box. The steeple section should extend above the box. Lay the spaghetti box down on its side next to the tower section. Glue the Parliament pattern to the spaghetti box.

Glue the Parliament section to the Big Ben tower and set aside to dry. Glue the model to a cardboard square for a base.
