If you have a WordPress.com and a Tumblr blog, you can link the two together so that your followers can view content from both sites. For example, if your WordPress.com theme has a sidebar, you can put a widget there that displays your Tumblr blog's most recent posts using the RSS, or Really Simple Syndication, feed protocol. Although Tumblr does not offer a similar widget, you can post a link to your WordPress.com blog home page or to a specific article or page that you want to share.
Add WordPress to Tumblr
Visit your WordPress blog, highlight its URL in your browser's address bar, and then press "Ctrl-C" to copy it. To share a specific WordPress post instead, navigate to that post, and then copy the URL in your browser's address bar.
Log in to your Tumblr blog, and then click the "Link" button.
Click inside the input box with the grayed "URL," and the press "Ctrl-V" to paste the WordPress URL.
Click "Post" to add the link to your blog. When visitors to your Tumblr bog click this link, they will be taken directly to your WordPress blog.
Add Tumblr RSS Feed to WordPress
Sign in to your WordPress.com account, click "My Blogs," and then select the name of the blog you want to add Tumblr posts to. Your blog's theme must have a sidebar that you can add new widgets to.
Click "Blog | Dashboard | Appearance | Widgets" to display the active widgets in the sidebar as well as additional widgets you can choose from.
Scroll through the list of widgets until you locate the RSS widget with the text "Entries from any RSS or Atom feed" below it; click and drag this widget to the theme's sidebar. Don't close this page when you're done.
Open a new browser tab or window, and then log in to your Tumblr blog.
Click the link for your blog, highlight the URL in your browser's address bar, and then press "Ctrl-C" to copy it.
Return to your WordPress.com blog, and then click the "RSS" widget button in the sidebar to reveal its settings.
Click inside the input box labeled "Enter the RSS feed URL here:", and then press "Ctrl-V" to paste your Tumblr blog's URL.
Add "rss" to your Tumblr blog's URL after the "/" character. This instructs the WordPress widget to load your Tumblr blog's RSS feed. For example, if your blog's name is “allensinterestingstuff,” the completed RSS URL should resemble the following:
Click "Save," and then select "Close" to make your change permanent.
