Toddlers love to build things, and by age 3 or 4 years, kids can build towers of 6 or more blocks. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can put these skills to the test by building a marshmallow igloo with your toddler or preschooler. This activity will keep him entertained for a while, and he might love the opportunity to eat a few of those marshmallows along the way.

Paint the cardboard white to give the illusion of snow and allow to dry.

Turn a paper cup upside down on the flat piece of cardboard and secure the cup to the cardboard with glue.

Glue a layer of marshmallows around the base of the cup. Consider using icing instead of glue if you’d like to have an igloo treat later.

Glue another layer of marshmallows on top of the first layer. Continue until you have covered the entire cup with marshmallows. Glue one more marshmallow at the base to be the “door” to the igloo.
