Thank someone special in your life with a loving letter or note. Gifts come in the form of advice, opportunities, presents or just a helping hand. Often times it can be difficult to know where to begin or what words to say to show people how much they are appreciated. Sending the person a loving thank you letter communicates thoughtfulness and sincerity.
Purchase a card without text, blank stationary or create your own stationary. A homemade card makes the gesture even more personal.
Jot down a list of things you want to say in the letter, in addition to thanking her.
Mention what you are thanking her for and how it has affected you and/or your life. For example, if the gift was money, let her know how you intend to use it. If she gave you good advice, let her know how it helped you to make a better decision. Adding specific details like these to the letter connects the person to your life and lets her know how much you appreciate her.
Write a rough draft with pen and paper. A rough draft to copy from helps minimize errors when writing the final copy with an ink pen.
Write your final thank you letter onto the card, stationary or paper. Close the letter with an invitation to stay in touch via phone, letter or email.
