The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) offers nationwide certification to pharmacy technicians. Pharmacy technicians who possess PTCB certification have provided sufficient evidence that they are knowledgeable of policies and procedures that will heighten the quality of their work and the effectiveness of their working relationships with pharmacists. The exam leading to certification consists of 90 multiple choice questions, but there is a two-part application and registration process you must complete before you can take it. You cannot register to take the PTCB exam until you receive an Authorization to Test (ATT) letter, which you receive after submitting the initial application.
