How to See Past Relationships on Facebook

One of the benefits of social media is having loads of information about a person right at your fingertips. If you're friends with a person on Facebook -- or he's made his profile public -- you'll be able to see all sorts of information he's shared on the platform, including past and present relationship statuses.
Step 1
Type the person's name into the "Search for People, Places and Things" box at the top of your Facebook home page or profile page.
Step 2
Click the person's name from the list of search results to navigate to his profile page.
Step 3
Scroll down the profile to see the information the person has shared on Facebook. You'll see photos and status updates, and if he has listed his relationship status, it will appear there. For example, you may see that he "Got Engaged" on a certain date, or "In a Relationship" followed by a date.

Tips
- If you're able to see the person's Timeline, you can also get an idea of who he is friends with or who he may have had a relationship with by looking at the pictures he's posted on his profile, or the pictures he's been tagged in. Scroll through the Timeline in the same manner described above, or click on his "Photos" tab to look at all the photos connected to his profile.
