FCAT Math Vocabulary

Transcript

Hi, my name is Stephan. Today, I'm going to be speaking on the FCAT math vocabulary. FCAT stands for Foreign Comprehensive Assessment Test. This test is organized from grades zero to three and four to six and so on. And it has vocabulary that you should for each grade. Vocabulary like numerator. Let's say for instance, you have the fraction two-thirds, two would be the numerator, the number on top. And also words like denominator. In a fraction, using two-thirds again, the denominator would be in this case, number three, the number on the bottom. It also has words like the sum. Let's say for example, you have one plus four. Five would be the sum of this. When two numbers are added, you get the sum. And also, it has words like divisor. Let's say you have six divided by two. In this case, two would be the divisor, the number you're dividing it by. And there's some words that you'll find on the FCAT math vocabulary.
