How to Download and Burn MP4 Internet Videos to DVD

You can burn downloaded MP4 videos to DVD with specialized DVD conversion software such as Fast Video Converter, MP4 to DVD or DVD Maker. These converters offer free trial versions that often include a watermark in the finished DVD; however, you can purchase and register the software if you want to remove the watermark. Download your MP4 movie, save the file to your hard drive, and then install a DVD conversion tool to convert the file to the DVD format and burn the movie to DVD.

1 Fast Video Converter

2 Open the Fast Video Converter download site

Open the Fast Video Converter download site (see Resources), and then click the radio button for your operating system. Click the “Download Now” button and save the file to your hard drive. Click the EXE file and follow the prompts to install the program.

3 Open the Fast Video Converter application

Open the Fast Video Converter application, and then click the “Burn” tab in the top menu.

4 Click the Add Files ” button

Click the “Add Files” button, browse to and select the MP4 file to burn, and then click “Open.”

5 Insert a blank DVD in the DVD burner

Insert a blank DVD in the DVD burner.

6 Click the Change Template button in the right sidebar

Click the “Change Template” button in the right sidebar to optionally choose a template for the DVD title screen.

7 Click the Edit button

Click the “Edit” button to crop the video, add subtitles or perform other rudimentary editing tasks.

8 Click Burn to burn the video file

Click “Burn” to burn the video file to DVD.

9 MP4 to DVD

10 Open the MP4 to DVD download site

Open the MP4 to DVD download site (see Resources), and then click the “Download” button for your operating system. Save the file to your computer, click the EXE file to launch the installation routine, and then follow the prompts to install the software.

11 Open the MP4 to DVD application

Open the MP4 to DVD application, and then click “+” to add files.

12 Browse to

Browse to and click on the MP4 file to convert. Click “Open” to load the video. You can also drag and drop the MP4 file to the middle of the screen to load the video. The video lists in the sidebar.

13 Click the video in the sidebar

Click the video in the sidebar, and then click “Edit” to optionally crop or edit the video before converting.

14 Click the Menu button

Click the “Menu" button in the sidebar to open the "Customize the DVD" menu, and then select a menu or background template for the video.

15 Click the Preview button to preview the video

Click the “Preview” button to preview the video before burning, if desired.

16 Insert a blank DVD into your computer

Insert a blank DVD into your computer, and then click the “Burn” button.

18 Open the DVD Maker download site

Open the DVD Maker download site (see Resources), click the “Download” button for your operating system, save the file to your computer, and then click the EXE file to launch the installation program. Follow the on-screen prompts to install the software.

19 Open the DVD Maker application

Open the DVD Maker application, click the “Import” button, browse to and select your MP4 file, and then click “Open.” You can also drag and drop the video file into the main window to add the file.

20 Click the Edit button-2

Click the “Edit” button to crop or modify the MP4 file before burning, if desired. Click “OK” when finished to close the editing tool.

21 Click the Templates button in the right sidebar

Click the “Templates” button in the right sidebar to select an optional menu template for the DVD. You can also add a background from your computer using the Template tool.

22 Click the Preview button

Click the “Preview” button to preview the video.

23 Insert a blank DVD

Insert a blank DVD into the DVD burner, and then click the “Burn” button to create the DVD.
