The iPod touch plays videos in the palm of your hand. This makes it useful, especially if you commute everyday or travel frequently. You can transfer movies, movie clips, trailers or podcasts onto your iPod and watch them while on the go. It is important to note that iPod touch only supports MPEG or MP4 files. Also, iPod touch requires iTunes to upload videos from your computer. Make sure to download iTunes from the Apple website (see Resources) before you start transferring videos.

Step 1

Launch iTunes.

Step 2

Connect your iPod touch to your computer via the USB cable provided to you.

Step 3

Wait until iTunes recognizes your iPod touch. You should see the iPod touch icon on the left panel under "Devices."

Step 4

Click "Movies" under "Library." Locate the video that you wish to transfer to your iPod touch. If you wish to transfer a video podcast, click "Podcast" under "Library." If you cannot find the video under "Movies," click "File" on the top bar and select "Add File to Library." Browse to the video and click "Open." This will add the video to your iTunes library.

Step 5

Drag and drop the video to the iPod touch icon under "Devices."

Step 6

Click the iPod touch icon and click "Sync" to complete the task.
