MoneyGram is a financial service that allows consumers to send money, pay bills or receive money from anyone throughout the country. You can find this service at retail locations and also online. After you have sent a money transfer to a recipient, you will get a confirmation number. This confirmation number acts as a tracking number for the money transfer. If you send a MoneyGram online, you can log in to the account and track your information directly. If you use a retail location, however, you must first fill out an online form.

Online Sender

Step 1

Log in to your account using your username and password at MoneyGram.com.

Step 2

At the My Account screen, look under Recent Activity for the date of transfer and recipient's name. Click on the recipient's name, which is in red, and you will be redirected to a Transaction History screen.

Step 3

Locate the transaction by finding the Reference number, which is bolded. Under the Status section, you will see Pending, In Process, Payment Complete or Picked Up to indicate the status of your MoneyGram.

Retail Sender

Step 1

Visit MoneyGram.com and click on the Service Forms link at the bottom of the page.

Step 2

Select the Inquiry Form link and have your receipt nearby.

Step 3

Fill out the online form entirely to prevent delays. Include the Money Order #, which is the confirmation number printed on your receipt. Enter your email address and prepare to wait 48 to 72 hours for an online representative to respond to the tracking of your MoneyGram.
