Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland, was ranked No. 3 in the 2013 US News Research School Rankings. This private school of medicine enrolled 480 students in 2013, with the median incoming GPA of 3.91, with an average median MCAT score of 36.
Universities in the United Kingdom
University of Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine in Cambridge, England, made the No. 3 spot for the QS World University Rankings 2014. The teaching of medicine at Cambridge dates back to 1540, with the first clinical school opening in 1976. The School of Clinical Medicine offers two medical courses: standard, a six- year program for undergraduates, and graduate, a four-year program integrating core medical sciences with clinical medicine.
Universities in Canada
The Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, is the medical school of the University of Toronto. Founded in 1843, the university is one of the oldest institutions of medical studies. The undergraduate medical program is four years; the school also offers graduate programs. The Faculty of Medicine, McGill University, is the medical school of McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, established in 1823 as the Montreal Medical Institute and in 1829 as the first medical faculty to be established in Canada.

Pierre and Marie Curie Faculty of Medicine is a public research medical university in Paris, France. The Faculty of Medicine offers three cycles of medical studies in addition to paramedical courses. The university is ranked No. 37 by the Academic Rankings of World Universities.
Universities in Australia
Sydney Medical School at the University of Sydney was founded in 1850 and is the oldest university in Australia. Sydney’s M.D. program has 306 students as of 2013. The program is built in three stages and students have multiple disciplines to choose from, from addiction medicine to pharmaceuticals. Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences Melbourne Medical School at the University of Melbourne was rated No. 54 by Academic Rankings of World Universities and top 20 by the 2010 Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
Universities of Asia
The Graduate School of Medicine and Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tokyo was ranked No. 21 by the 2013 Academic Rankings of World Universities. The school offers graduate and undergraduate programs with 13 departments and four types of degrees: doctoral degree in medical science, doctoral degree in health sciences, master's degree and professional degree.
