If your boyfriend seems less crazy about you than he used to be, you might suspect he's found someone new. Your doubts could damage your relationship, so you need to be certain before you confront him. Although intuition is often correct, knowing what signs to look for can help you assess whether your suspicions are founded or not.

1 He's Less Available

If you've been spending less time together lately because he's doing things without you, he may have found someone else. He might call you less often; when you try to reach him, he may not return your calls or texts as promptly as before. He might also cancel plans with you on short notice.

2 He's Less Attentive

When you are together, he doesn't pay attention to you like he used to. Everyone forgets details sometimes, but if your boyfriend doesn't ask about a serious problem you shared with him, it's a sign he no longer cares. He might be laughing less at your jokes and be less interested in demonstrating affection. If you let him know that you're hurt by his lack of interest, he may shrug off your concerns in an insensitive manner.

3 He's More Critical

Your boyfriend might be finding more fault with you lately. Instead of paying you compliments like he used to, he's now critical of what you're wearing and things you suggest. You might find he frequently starts fights with you. This might be his way of getting you to gradually distance yourself from him.

4 He Excludes You from Future Plans

He stops making plans for your future together as a couple. For example, if there's a long weekend coming up, he talks about what he wants to do without checking to see what you'd like to do. Glamour.com suggests that guys who don't want to plan something more than a month ahead are mentally excluding you from their future.

5 He's Become Secretive and Dishonest

Some guys just like to keep their business private, but if he used to tell you everything and now he doesn't share much, he likely has something to hide. You might notice that he never leaves his phone out of sight or he's added new passwords that he won't share. He might get angry and defensive if you ask where he was last night. You might catch him lying about small, seemingly unimportant things and find he's unrepentant about his behavior.

6 His Tastes Change

He might suddenly start wearing new clothes, new shoes or a new hairstyle or aftershave. His interest in movies and music might suddenly be different. For example, he used to hate jazz and now he seems to know all about it.

7 He Talks about Someone New

He might be so excited about his new love interest that he can't resist mentioning her all the time. Perhaps she's someone new in his office or someone he met at his cousin's wedding. MarieClaire.com warns that if your guy can't stop singing the praises of someone he's recently met, it's probably because he's smitten. He might not even be aware that he mentions her name so much and gets angry and denies it if you call him on it.

8 His Friends Behave Differently

It's likely his close friends know he's found someone new and feel uncomfortable around you. He might use them as an excuse for cancelling plans with you. They might feel guilty lying to you for him, but remember that their first loyalties will be to him. If his friends seem to avoid you or hesitate to answer your questions, chances are they're covering for him.
