Shutterfly is an online photo printing and archiving service, and not an image hoster, so there is no easy way to download your photos. Once you have uploaded your photos to Shutterfly, you can order prints, photo books, or cards and stationary. You can also view your photos online, but not at the full resolution at which the images were uploaded. If you are unwilling to pay the fees for a full resolution DVD archive, the reduced photos can be downloaded manually from your Shutterfly albums using your web browser.

Step 1

Sign in to your Shutterfly account and click the "My Pictures" link at the top of the page.

Step 2

Double-click the thumbnail of the album that contains the photos that you want to download. Alternatively, click the "My Albums" folder on the left of the page and then click the name of the album that contains the photos you want to download.

Step 3

Double-click the thumbnail for the photo that you want to download to view a larger version.

Step 4

Right-click the larger photo and select "Save picture as" (in Internet Explorer) or "Save Image As" (in Chrome and Firefox.)

Step 5

Select a location on your computer to save the photo and then click "Save." Repeat the process to download more photos.
