How to Take a Screenshot With a Samsung Freeform III

by Jeff Grundy, Demand Media Google

Like its predecessors the Freeform I and II, the third version of this Samsung phone includes a feature that enables you to capture screenshots of the display screen. However, neither MetroPCS nor Samsung offer any information about the screenshot feature in the phone's user guide. Nevertheless, capturing a screenshot with the Freeform III is not difficult at all.

Step 1

Navigate to a Web page or display screen on the Freeform III of which you want to take a screenshot.

Step 2

Press and hold the "Z" key, and then press the center-select, or "OK," button. When the phone prompts you to confirm that you want to capture the screenshot, press the "OK" button again.

Step 3

Power off the Freeform III phone and turn it on again.

Step 4

Press the "Menu" key, and then scroll down to and select "Multimedia."

Step 5

Press the "OK" key, select "My Images," and then press "OK" again. The saved screenshot is the first image displayed in your image gallery. Select the image, and then press "OK" to view it in full-screen mode.

  • You must power off the Freeform III and restart it before you can view the saved screenshot. The screenshot will not appear in the My Images list until you restart the phone.
