As part of its mission to serve communities across the nation, the Salvation Army offers college scholarships through its regional headquarters. Some grants are made in partnerships with local colleges and universities while others allow students to attend the college of their choice. Eligibility requirements vary among programs and applicants should study them closely before making their final submissions.

In support of their application, students need to supply a copy of their high school transcript or GED, two recommendation letters and a personal essay. Grant recipients may apply for a second-year award by submitting a recommendation from a teacher or adviser and a transcript of their coursework.
