MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) is one of many of Microsoft’s Certified Professional (MCP) education and testing programs. Successful MCSEs must possess a high level of IT and networking knowledge before they can successfully complete the certification process. Becoming a MCSE requires several different tests that cover various Microsoft operating systems and networking technologies.

It is acceptable to verify a candidate's MCP credentials before extending a job offer. With some basic information from the MCSE, you can verify an applicant’s credentials in minutes.

Ask the candidate or employee to provide you with his Microsoft MCP Transcript ID and Access Code for the Microsoft MCP site.

Open Internet Explorer and browse to the Microsoft Learning transcript access Website (see "Resources").

Enter the Transcript ID and Access Code into the labeled text fields and click the “Submit” button.

Wait for the Website to verify the login credentials. Once you successfully login, you can review the person’s Microsoft MCSE transcripts and certification credentials.
