Tumblr enables you to share all of the posts you've liked on a separate page, and many Tumblr themes also include a section for a widget that displays your likes on your blog's layout. If you'd like to remove this section and prevent other users from seeing your likes, you must toggle the feature off and remove the Likes widget on your layout.
Log in to your Tumblr account, and then click the gear icon on your Dashboard to visit your primary account's settings page.
Click the "Dashboard" tab in the main menu, and then toggle the switch next to "Share Posts I Like" in the Likes section to "Off." Tumblr automatically saves your preferences.
Click the Home icon on your Dashboard, and then select the "Customize" tab in the main menu to visit the customization settings for your blog's layout.
Scroll down your customization settings to see if your theme has a toggle switch to display and hide the Likes widget on your blog; if it does, toggle the switch to "Off."
Click the "Save" button, and then click "Exit" to return to your Dashboard.
- If you'd still like to share your likes and only want to remove the section on your blog's layout, leave the feature toggled to "On" and only remove the section from the theme. Your visitors will still be able to see your likes by visiting tumblr.com/liked/by/username, with "username" representing your Tumblr's primary account name.
- If you've manually added a Likes widget to your blog's HTML code, your likes will no longer show once you toggle the option to "Off" in your settings, but you'll need to manually delete the widget code from your theme's HTML to remove the section on your layout. In your customization settings, click "Edit HTML," make the changes directly to the code, click "Update Preview," and then click "Save" to save your changes.
