FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid, and it is available to print. Printing the FAFSA makes the process easier for some as they can view the paper in front of them and take it with them when acquiring the additional required documents.

Go to the FAFSA wesbite (www.fafsa.ed.gov). Do not perform a search for this as there are many unofficial sites mimicking the FAFSA website. Click on the "FAFSA Filing Options" link. The website will take you to a new page.

Determine which school year you will be filing for financial aid. Two different school years generally are given as options. Select the correct school year for you. This page will also give you the option to file the FAFSA online.

Wait for the document to load. Note that it does not download onto your computer. Verify that the document is for the correct year. You may fill out the document prior to printing, but if you do, be sure to save a copy on your computer.

Print the FAFSA and keep a copy for your records.
