The program is designed to give students a more specialized understanding of the pharmaceutical industry as it applies to the health care field. The pharmaceutical management option allows students to bypass selected courses in exchange for courses such as the health care industry and role of the pharmaceutical companies, health sector supply chain management and pharmaceutical marketing and pharmacoeconomics.

Rutgers University

New Jersey has the highest concentration of pharmaceutical companies nationwide, putting Rutgers University, Newark, at a strategic advantage for its students in the master of arts pharmaceutical management program. The school has partnerships with several well-known pharmaceutical companies, including Bayer, Bristol-Myers-Squibb and Novartis. St. Joseph's University

St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia offers a Master in Business Administration in pharmaceutical and health care marketing through its Erivan K. Haub School of Business. Its urban campus location is along the mid-Atlantic health care corridor and the program features lectures from industry leaders.
