The Internet has a large variety of online spy schools to choose from; these yield different varieties of degrees and prepare students for different varieties of spying (a.k.a. intelligence) jobs.

The military offers online intelligence degrees for its different branches; there are also private online intelligence schools as well.

Finally, there are courses available from many accredited online universities that offer majors in Intelligence Studies, or Homeland Security Management.

University of Military Intelligence

For those wanna-be spies wishing to join the military, the University of Military Intelligence sponsors the UMI Virtual Campus, where students can learn from the military intelligence library, the language school and from their online functional courses offerings, including their Data Analyst course, their M.I. Joint Intelligence Virtual University

For folks who are already spies, but want more online training, the Joint Intelligence Virtual University was founded before 9/11 to foster education within the intelligence community. Over 13,000 military and civilian intelligence professional choose from over 300 secure courses within distance-learning modules. The JIVU was awarded the highest honor given by the intelligence community, the CIA's National Intelligence Meritorious Unit Citation.

Henley-Putnam University

Henley-Putnam University calls itself, 'a premier university for higher education in the advancing fields of protection, intelligence and counterterrorism." Named for Revolutionary War-era spy David Henley, who catalogued British munitions for George Washington, and Israel Putnam, a guerrilla fighter and spy at the Battle for Bunker Hill, Henley-Putnam offers online B.A.s, M.A.s, and certificate training in Intelligence, Protectio, and Counter-Terrorism, as well as a Doctorate in Strategic Security, with courses in Counter-Intelligence, Chemical Warfare and Cyber-Security.

For those wishing to go into service in the intelligence world, there are many accredited schools with online branches that prep students for this work with B.A.s or M.A.s in Homeland Security.
