How to Find the Median of a Histogram

Transcript

Hi, my name's Stefan. Today, I'm gonna be speaking on how to find the median of a histogram. Let's say for example we have a histogram of how many pies people can eat. Okay, these are the number of people, and these are the pies, and let's say for example three people are able to eat one pie, and then you have five people that were able to eat two pies, and then you have three people were able to eat four pies. Now that we're finding the median, we add up the number of people, so that's three, plus five, plus four, and we divide that by two, and then we get six. And now we find the sixth place, one, two, three, four, five, six, so the median is equal to two. And that's how you find the median of a histogram.
