Apple’s iPad tablet includes both a rear and front-facing camera capable of recording video and audio. The tablet’s operating system iOS 7 features integrated support for the direct uploading of your video to Facebook, Vimeo and YouTube. If you want to make a YouTube video with your iPad, everything you need is included in the software that powers the device. Apple designed the iPad with content sharing in mind.

Tap the “Camera” icon on the iPad home screen. Swipe the settings menu to “Video.”

Touch the red record button to start recording your video. When you’re finished recording, touch the record button again to stop.

Press the home button on the iPad tablet. Tap “Photos” to open your media library.

Touch the video you wish to upload. Use the sliders at the top of the screen to trim the beginning and ending of the video as necessary. Touch “Trim” and choose either “Trim Original,” which modifies the recording, or “Save as New Clip,” which creates a copy with your trims.

Select the trimmed video from your media library. Touch the share button in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. Tap “YouTube.” Enter your YouTube login information if needed.

Enter a title and description for the video, as well as tags. Tags help people find your content.

Touch “Publish” to upload the video.
