How to Calculate Date of Birth in Numerology

Numerology is an ancient and popular study of numbers. The word "numerology" means "number study." In numerology, it is believed that each number carries a vibration and an energy. Traditionally, the Hebrew language also associates letters and numbers. Based on this connection between letters and numbers, your birthday, your name, the current year, and even a time of day is believed to reveal much about you. You can use your date of birth to reveal a "destiny number" or "life path number" that has a special meaning.

1 Reduce the date

Reduce the date of your birth to a single digit by adding all the numbers together to find a single number. Let's assume your birthday is March 3, 1995. In this example, you would add 3 (the number of the month) + 3 (the number of the day) + 1 + 9 + 9 + 5 (the numbers in the year). The result is 30. When we add the numbers in this result, 3 + 0, we find the number 3.

2 Convert your name to a single digit

Convert your name to a single digit by assigning each letter of your name a number and then adding the numbers. To do this, assign the number 1 to the letter A, the number 2 to the letter B, and so on until you reach the letter I, which can be assigned the number 9. Then, start over again by assigning the next letter, J, the number 1, assigning the number 2 to the letter K, and so on until you reach the end of the alphabet. Add all the numbers of the letters in your name, and then add the digits in the result to get a single digit, as you did with the date of your birth.

3 Consult an expert source

Consult an expert source. Numerology generally centers on numbers 1 to 9. The numbers 1 through 9 have an energy and meaning. For example, 3 can mean creativity, joy, and the ability to do more than one thing at a time. Each number has a negative and a positive meaning.
