Old Dominion University requires students to submit their weighted high school GPA and their ACT or SAT test scores as part of the admissions process. While the school's admissions page doesn't indicate a minimum GPA requirement for freshmen applicants, it does guarantee admission to transfer students from a Virginia community college with a 2.5 GPA or above.
In its profile of Old Dominion University, the website CollegeToolkit.com indicated an average high school GPA of 3.3 for incoming students as of September 2013. The profile also revealed that only 25 percent of students had GPAs of 2.5 to 2.99. The data indicated that Old Dominion admitted zero percent of freshmen with GPAs below 2.5. Thirty percent of students admitted had a GPA at or above 3.5.
