How to Forward Incoming Emails From AOL

You can automatically forward all your email communication from AOL to another provider so you have all your messages stored in one place. Even though AOL does not directly provide this feature, you can set up a Gmail, Outlook or Yahoo account to fetch messages from the AOL server. These services can also be set up to store a local copy of all messages on the server so you can access your email from anywhere.

1 Forwarding Your AOL Emails to Gmail

2 Click the gear button

Click the gear button in your Gmail inbox and select "Settings" to open the settings for your email account.

3 Click on the Accounts tab

Click on the "Accounts" tab and select "Add A POP3 Mail Account You Own" from the Check Mail From Other Accounts (Using POP3) section.

4 Enter your full AOL email address

Enter your full AOL email address in the text box and press "Next Step."

5 Choose the settings

Choose the settings for synchronizing your email messages to your Gmail. For example, if you want to keep a local copy on the Google server so you can access your communication from anywhere, check "Leave A Copy Of Retrieved Messages On The Server." Check "Always Use A Secure Connection (SSL) When Retrieving Mail" to download all your emails securely.

6 Click Add Account

Click "Add Account" to add your AOL account to Gmail and automatically forward all your future emails.

7 Forward AOL Emails to Yahoo

8 Hover your mouse

Hover your mouse over the Settings menu button in your Yahoo inbox and click "Settings" to access the preferences for your account.

9 Click Add in the Accounts section

Click "Add" in the Accounts section. Enter your full AOL email address in the corresponding text box. Optionally, you can also add a description for your AOL account.

10 Check Set Up to Receive Emails

Check "Set Up to Receive Emails" and click "Save" to send a verification email to your AOL inbox.

11 Click the link

Click the link inside the verification email to verify your account and start forwarding AOL emails to Yahoo.

12 Forwarding AOL Emails to Outlook.com

13 Click the Setting gear cog icon in your Outlook.com inbox

Click the Setting gear cog icon in your Outlook.com inbox and select "More Mail Settings" to access your account settings.

14 Select Your Email Settings

Select "Your Email Settings" under Managing Your Account. Click "Add A Send-and-receive Account" in the Add An Email Account section.

15 Enter your full AOL email address and password

Enter your full AOL email address and password in the corresponding fields and click "Next."

16 Select the folder

Select the folder where you want to store emails from AOL and press "Save" to save your preferences and automatically forward your communication.
