Dividing simple fractions will use the rules of flipping and multiplying. Divide simple fractions with help from a high school math tutor in this free video clip.

Hi, I'm Charlie Kasov, and this is how to divide simple fractions. So let's take two simple fractions. We have 1/5th and 1/4th, well if we'd like to divide 1/5th divided by 1/4th, the basic rule with dividing fractions is flip and multiply. So 1/5th divided by 1/4th is the same as 1/5th times 4/1 and when we are multiplying fractions, top times top, bottom times bottom, so 1 times 4 is 4, 5 times 1 is 5 and we get 4/5ths. So again when you are dividing simple fractions, remember that the rule is always flip and multiply. Thanks a lot.
