The ABS-CBN Distance Learning Center (DLC) was primarily a school for young actors and actresses who have no time for regular schooling. ABS-CBN is a major television company in the Philippines, and it has a big talent pool of actors, actresses and singers. Duly accredited by the Department of Education (DE), DLC already accepts any student whether working in the entertainment industry or has special needs which makes distance learning more preferable. Aside from young performing artists intending to finish high school, DLC also caters to those who have to undergo regular medication or those who can’t attend regular schools due to frequent travels and other concerns.
