Flight attendants can be found on just about every passenger airline. It is the flight attendant's job to make sure that all passengers have a safe and comfortable flying experience. While no formal training is necessary to become a flight attendant, there are community colleges that offer flight attendant programs. Many flight attendants have education in a related field, such as aviation management, hospitality or tourism.

Mercer County Community College offers a two-year Associate in Applied Science degree in Aviation Customer Relations. In this program, students learn the basics of the aviation industry with a focus on customer service. Students need a high school diploma to qualify for the program.

Union County College offers a two-year diploma in Hospitality Management. In this program, students take courses in management, accounting, customer service, technology and language arts, giving them a well-rounded, customer service-oriented program of study that will be of help to them in their career as a flight attendant.
