In fashion, gray has earned its rightful spot as the equally classic yet softer version of black. So it should come as no surprise that the little gray dress holds the same versatility as its black counterpart. Treat gray as a neutral hue and you'll open up a range of styling options, making it easy to land the perfect boot for your gorgeous gray frock.

1 Beautiful Blending

Keep things in the same color family by pairing a gray dress with either dark charcoal or black boots. Accent an elegant gray wrap dress with black knee-high boots or team a light gray body-con dress with charcoal suede wedge booties for a little edge. Continue the cool undertones through to your accessories. Wear small silver hoops, a stack of silver, pewter and graphite bangles, and a black leather satchel.

2 Cool Contrasting

Expand your horizons with a pair of deep burgundy, cognac or brown boots. Gone are old conventions that brown and gray don’t mix; the two neutral shades both complement and contrast, creating visual interest. Team a casual gray day dress with flat brown equestrian riding boots. Add a blue denim jacket, gold earrings and a brown messenger bag to tie the look together.
