The Motorola Droid X comes with a built-in voicemail app, allowing you to manage your voicemails through a visual interface. When you receive a voicemail, the app creates an entry in the phone's notification bar and gives you an audible alert. You can change the voicemail alert the Droid X uses to any of the phone's installed ringtones, as well as setting whether the phone vibrates or not when a voicemail is recieved.
Press the Home button to bring up the phone's Home screen, then tap the "Voicemail" icon to open the Voicemail app.
Press the Menu key and then select “Settings” to bring up the phone's Voicemail Settings menu.
Select “Change Notification” and then select the ringtone that you want to use as your voicemail notification from the list.
- To configure the phone to vibrate when you receive a voicemail, check the “Vibrate Mode” box on the Voicemail Settings menu.
